Oneplus launched its flagship smartphone Oneplus 6T globally at a launch event held in New York on Monday. The price for the Indian market and other details were revealed later at another launch event in New Delhi. The price for the base variant in India is ₹37,999. Oneplus was started some years back with an aim to provide top-notch features to its customers at an affordable price. The prices of premium smartphones from brands like Apple, Samsung were getting higher and higher, creating a void for companies like Oneplus to fit into that. The price of Oneplus phones is also rising but it is way lower than other flagship devices.

Oneplus 6T is the upgrade to its previous generation device Oneplus 6, which was also an outstanding proposition for its price bracket. Oneplus 6 was an iPhone X look alike with performance and features comparable to the iPhone X and the price just one-third. This made Oneplus 6, an affordable replacement for iPhone X. Oneplus 6T, on the other hand, does not resemble any of the iPhones as far as looks are concerned.

Oneplus 6T looks premium with its waterdrop shaped notch design and thin bezels. Oneplus 6T looks identical to the Oneplus 6 but with a smaller notch. Another change in the new Oneplus 6T is the removal of 3.5-mm Headphone Jack, which was present in the older Oneplus 6. Oneplus has included in the box an Audio-connector to solve the purpose. Also, the backside fingerprint scanner is replaced with the new in-display fingerprint scanner we saw in the Vivo V11 Pro. There comes a screen protector pre-installed with the handset and a soft-case to protect the glass back of the Oneplus 6T. The SIM-tray is on the left side of the phone and can cater only 2 nano-SIM cards with NO slot for micro-SD card.

Oneplus 6T comes with an Optic AMOLED display of 6.41-inch diagonal length. The screen is FHD+ with resolution 2340×1080, aspect ratio 19.5:9 and 402-PPI pixel density. The display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 6, so you can put it in your pocket with no worries at all.

Oneplus 6T is powered by probably the fastest available processor from Qualcomm, which is Snapdragon 845. Snapdragon 845 is an Octa-core processor clocked at a max of 2.8 GHz and has Artificial Intelligence Engine(AIE) in it. The phone also features a graphics processor Adreno 630 from Qualcomm as well. Now, tighten your seat belts with a coffee mug and get ready for an overjoying gaming experience.

The rear camera on this phone is a dual-Camera setup like many other smartphones of current times. The primary or the main sensor of the setup is the 16 MegaPixel Sony IMX 519 with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22-micrometer pixel size. This main sensor also features Optical Image Stabilization(OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization(EIS) and Phase Detection Autofocus(PDAF).
