Ram temple to spark India’s cultural revival, says Rajnath Singh | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Justice has been done to Ayodhya after a long wait of over 500 years and the reconstructed temple in the holy town is the beginning of India’s cultural revival and restoration of national pride, defence minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh on Saturday.
At the launch of a book ‘Tryst with Ayodhya’ at Delhi University, nine days ahead of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, the defence minister said that the grand temple in Ayodhya was a symbol of the pinnacle of Sanatan Dharma, representing a new India in which the political parties, who had a long history of opposing the Ram temple, are now forced to chant “Ram-Ram”.
“Just nine days from today, we will be witnesses to one of the happiest and proudest moments of Indian history. Lord Ram Lalla will return to his divine, grand and huge temple in Ayodhya on 22 January. After 500 years of continuous struggle, justice has been done to Ayodhya. And we are the luckiest people in history to see it happen. I believe this is the beginning of India’s cultural revival and restoration of national pride,” the defence minister said.
He asserted that appeasement politics will end in the country and the foundation of an all-inclusive society beyond caste and class will be strengthened.
“The temple at the birthplace of Ram Lalla will become the ‘seed centre’ temple of Ram’s ideals, Lakshman Rekha’s dignity, good governance system, destruction of terror and injustice,” Singh said.
Taking a swipe at the opposition parties, who have decided to skip the consecration ceremony, the defence minister said that the people who had questioned the very existence of Lord Ram are now chanting “Ram Ram”.
“This is a moral victory for the governance of PM Narendra Modi,” Singh said.
