Asus Zenfone Lite L1 launched in India: Specification, Comparison

Asus unveiled its latest entry-level smartphone Zenfone Lite L1 in India. The phone is available for an introductory price of ₹5,999 and is loaded with features. The phone is expected to give a tough fight to phones like Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A, Lenovo A5 and Realme C1.

The phone is expected to give a tough fight to phones like Xiaomi’s Redmi 6A, Lenovo A5 and Realme C1. The Taiwanese smartphone maker had earlier launched Zenfone Max Pro M1, which was an outstanding deal in its price segment. Asus is slowly and steadily strengthening its presence in the Indian market with its wonderful products not only in the smartphone segment but also in other segments as well. Let’s get to the specifications and features of the phone Asus Zenfone Lite L1.

Design

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is simple and elegant looking phone with its plastic body. The phone has got a metallic finish and is curvy at the edges, which makes the phone comfortable to hold with a single hand. There is 3.5 mm Headphone Jack at top of the phone, micro-USB port and speakers at the bottom and a dedicated SIM-tray on the left side of the phone. This dedicated SIM-tray can cater 2 nano-SIM cards and one micro-SD card simultaneously.

Display

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 comes fitted with an IPS-LCD panel, which is 5.45-inch in size diagonally. The display is HD+ with a resolution of 720×1440, aspect ratio 18:9 and pixel density of 295-PPI. Lenovo A5 comes with a 5.45-inch IPS-LCD panel, which is also HD+ with 720×1440 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Realme C1 stands tall with its larger 6.2-inch IPS-LCD display, which is HD+ with 720×1520 resolution and has 19:9 aspect ratio.

Processor

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, which is an Octa-core processor and is clocked at a max of 1.4 GHz. Asus Zenfone Lite L1 also has a GPU, which is Adreno 505. Lenovo A5 comes with a Quad-core processor from MediaTek, which is MediaTek MT6739 clocked at a max of 1.5 GHz. Lenovo A5 also features a PowerVR GE8100 GPU installed for faster graphics processing. Realme C1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, which is an Octa-core processor clocked at a max of 1.8 GHz. Realme C1 has Adreno 506 GPU installed in it. Clearly, Realme C1 looks to outclass the other 2 phones as far as performance is concerned.

Camera

The rear camera on this phone is a 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micrometer pixel size. The rear camera is loaded with the latest features like Phase Detection Autofocus(PDAF), GIF Animation, Time-lapse and many more. Asus Zenfone Lite L1 also features a front selfie camera, which is a 5MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture and 1.12-micrometer pixel size. Both front and rear cameras are coupled with LED flashes to capture brighter images in low-lighting conditions.

Battery

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 comes bundled with a 3000 mAh Li-ion battery, which is of non-removable type. Lenovo A5 comes with a 4000 mAh battery and Realme C1 with a battery of 4230 mAh capacity. Realme C1 looks like to be again a winner in this criteria also.

Price

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 price in India is ₹6,999 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage version but is currently available for ₹5,999 as an introductory offer. Lenovo A5 price for the 2GB RAM+16GB internal storage version is ₹5,999 and for 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage version is ₹6,999. Realme C1 price in India for the only version of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage is ₹6,999.

Verdict

If you are looking for a bigger display, better performance, dual-camera and longer battery life, then Realme C1 looks to be an ideal choice for you. But if you want more RAM and internal storage, Lenovo A5 becomes an ideal choice as the other 2 phones do not offer 3GB RAM and 32GB storage options. You can also go for Redmi 6A if you want to buy the 3GB+32GB version. And if you want to save your 1000 bucks, Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is not at all a bad option with Snapdragon 430 chipset.
