The Chinese maker Huawei, under its brand name Honor, launched yet another smartphone Honor 8X in India. Huawei, which is the world’s largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer, is focusing more on providing budget-friendly smartphones with decent specifications. Recently, it launched Honor 7S in the Indian market, which was a big hit. Honor 9N was another smartphone unveiled by Huawei in the Indian market. Huawei has always been performing well in the Indian market but something is lacking. Let’s come to the smartphone Honor 8X, which is a mid-end smartphone.
Honor 8X Design
Honor 8X is a premium looking smartphone with a notched display, which appears in most phones these days. The phone has a premium glass finished back with a double textured design. The bezels are thin with a claimed screen to body ratio of 91 per cent. The fingerprint sensor is placed ideally at the back of the phone. It has a dedicated SIM-tray on the right side in which 2 nano-SIM cards and one micro-SD card can be installed simultaneously.
Honor 8X Display
The phone Honor 8X comes with an IPS-LCD capacitive touchscreen panel of 6.5-inch. The panel displays FHD+ content with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 1080×2340 resolution and 396-PPI pixel density.
Honor 8X Processor
Honor 8X is powered by an Octa-core processor, which is Hisilicon Kirin 710. The processor comprises 4 Cortex-A73 cores, clocked at a max of 2.2 GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at a max of 1.7 GHz. The phone also features a graphics processor Mali-G51.

Honor 8X Camera
The rear camera on Honor 8X is a dual-Camera setup, comprising a primary 20MP sensor with a f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and a secondary depth sensor of 2MP with an LED flash. The rear camera can be used for capturing videos to a maximum of 1080p @30fps. The front selfie camera is a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The front selfie camera clicks sharp photos and videos up to a max of 1080p @30fps.
Honor 8X Battery
Honor 8X is bundled with a Non-removable Li-Po battery of 3750 mAh, which can last a day or two on normal usage. Huawei must have considered adding a bigger battery to outclass the competition. Although, the phone also features GPU Turbo technology that claims to improve performance by up to 60% while reducing battery usage by up to 30%. This GPU Turbo technology has the power to increase the battery backup, so a bigger battery might not be needed.
