22 students got Rs 1cr+ offers in Ph-1, says IIT-B placement cell | India News – Times of India

MUMBAI: The placement office of the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) has issued a corrigendum stating that the data on crore-plus offers was erroneously mentioned as 85 in its earlier press note. IIT-B has now clarified that in phase one, 22 students bagged Rs 1 crore-plus annual pay packages in the first phase of placements, of which three were domestic and 19 international.
In the first phase, which ended on December 20, a total of 63 students accepted international offers from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea,the Netherlands, Singapore and Hong Kong. Despite global and economic uncertainties, IIT-B saw a total of 1,340 offers being made till December 20, which resulted in 1,188 students getting placed. The number of offers received overall was lower than last year’s phase one of placements.
